37 Weeks Pregnant – Pregnancy Week by Week
Braxton-Hickson contractions may come more often this week. You will probably feel some vaginal discharge, also. But, these are normal symptoms of the pregnancy in this stage. If you notice spotting or bleading, call your doctor immediately.
If your results for the Streptococcus weren’t fine, you’ll get some antibiotics.
It is very important to monitor your baby’s movements, and let doctor know if you notice the decrease.
The doctors will consider your baby a full term if it reaches 39-40 weeks. Another two weeks will allow brain and lungs to fully mature.
At this point your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches.
Tip for this week
Try to review the stages of the labor, to be prepared for the coming event.
It would be great if you can distinct the true and the false contractions. The false contractions are irregular and vary in intensity and length. The pain is located in your lower abdomen. When it is a real labor coming, the pain is mostly located at the lower back.
